The EPC-S1722B is a 17-inch 4:3 industrial panel PC with four Intel I210 Gigabit LAN ports and five serial channels built into the panel. It is the model for machine builders who need network segmentation at the operator station rather than in the cabinet: the panel itself carries the four networks and the serial links, and it runs the 12th Gen Core platform on DDR5 behind an IP65 front bezel.

Separation without extra hardware. Port 1 typically goes to the machine or PLC network, port 2 to the plant and MES side, port 3 to a camera or instrument subnet and port 4 to commissioning or remote access. Each segment keeps its own address range and its own firewall rules, and none of them can see the others unless you route it. Doing that with a normal single-port panel means adding a managed switch and a box PC inside a cabinet that usually has room for neither.

Because the cutout already exists. 1280 × 1024 at 4:3 is the long-standing industrial standard for a 17-inch operator station, and machine builders re-panelling a line usually have that opening in the door. The EPC-S1722B is dimensioned to drop straight into it — 397.0 × 329.0 mm overall, 374.6 × 312.6 mm cutout — and the squarer format gives more vertical room to a screen full of tags, trends and alarm lists than a 16:9 panel of the same diagonal.

Five: 4× RS232 and 1× RS485, all on standard DB9 shells. The mix is the point — RS232 for point-to-point instruments, printers, scales and legacy controllers, and one RS485 channel for a multi-drop bus where a chain of meters or inverters shares a single twisted pair. Because both standards are on the panel, a cabinet that mixes them needs no external converter.

Three on the Intel® Core™ 12th Gen platform: i3-1215U at 1.2–4.4 GHz (part number C11.01.04.008), i5-1235U at 1.3–4.4 GHz (C11.01.04.009) and i7-1255U at 1.7–4.7 GHz (C11.01.04.010), with 8–32GB DDR5 and 2× M.2 SSD. The panel, the four LAN ports, the serial channels and the cutout are identical across all three builds.

A 17-inch 4:3 TFT LCD at 1280 × 1024, 350 cd/m² and 450:1 contrast, with an LED backlight rated for more than 50,000 hours. Touch is multi-touch projected capacitive with 1–10 touch points, 85% transmittance and a USB controller. The front bezel is IP65, so the panel can be wiped or hosed down at the face without water reaching the electronics.

75.1 mm deep (397.0 × 329.0 × 75.1 mm overall) and 5.78 kg, so it suits standard cabinet depths. It mounts in the panel cutout, on a wall bracket or on a VESA plate. Cooling is completely fanless — no filter to clean and no impeller drawing cabinet dust, filings or oil mist across the boards.

12V DC through a 3-pin pluggable terminal block, with 9–36V DC optional and startup selectable between AT and ATX so the panel comes back by itself after a power interruption. Operating temperature is 0–50 ℃ as standard with −40–70 ℃ available; storage is −10–60 ℃ and humidity 10%–90% non-condensing.

CE, FCC and BIS according to EN 55032 and EN 55035, with ODM support for custom BIOS, boot-on-LOGO and OEM branding.
