Primary Responsibilities
- Acquisition:Unified management of multi-channel data sources (sensors, fieldbuses, industrial protocols).
- Control:
Local control logic, real-time response, and safety interlocks. - HMI:
Coordinated interaction with FrontOps or local operator interfaces. - Gateway:
Data pathways from the edge to the cloud or centralized control centers. - AI:
Invocation of local or neighboring compute resources for inference and decision-making. - Communication:
Unified management of multi-protocol, multi-link communication paths. - Task Execution:
Completes an internal execution loop—from input → processing → output—within the device itself.
