Why the SIM card belongs inside the panel
Cellular from the panel, not from a dongle in the cabinet
The EPC-W1522B carries a 4G / 5G LTE module with a SIM card slot and a TF card slot inside the enclosure. That is what lets a panel report from a site with no data run — a remote skid, a vehicle, a temporary installation, or a machine standing where nobody is going to pull Ethernet. A USB cellular stick taped inside the cabinet is the usual alternative, and it is the part that fails: no retention, no antenna routing, no temperature rating.

The TF slot is local storage, the SIM slot is the network
They do different jobs, and having both inside the panel is what makes the EPC-W1522B usable on an unmanned site. The SIM card slot gives the module its identity on the mobile network; the TF card slot is where the panel keeps a rolling log, buffers readings through an outage, or stores images from an attached camera. Because both are inside the chassis, neither can be knocked out of a port, and the antenna can be routed out through a gland to wherever the signal actually is.

The display is a 15.6-inch 16:9 panel at 1920 × 1080, 300 cd/m² at 500:1 with a 50,000-hour LED backlight and projected-capacitive touch behind an IP65 front bezel. The chassis measures 404.2 × 253.5 × 75.1 mm with a cutout of 388.0 × 237.3 mm and weighs 3.63 kg — fanless, so there is no filter to clean and no fan drawing cabinet air across the boards. It runs the 12th Gen Core platform on DDR5 with 2× M.2 SSD.

What is the EPC-W1522B, and what is it built around?
It is a 15.6-inch Full HD industrial panel PC with an integrated 4G / 5G LTE module and SIM and TF card slots inside the enclosure. The cellular link is the point: it lets the panel exchange data from a location where a wired network does not exist or cannot be run, while still carrying the industrial I/O the machine side needs — five serial channels, two Intel LAN ports and six USB ports.
Do I need a wired network for the panel to work?
No. With the 4G / 5G module and a data SIM fitted, the panel reaches the network over cellular on its own. In practice most installations use both: the wired side (2× Intel I210 Gigabit LAN) for the local devices and machine network, and the cellular link as the route out — or as a fallback if the wired path fails. Sites that later get a cable can use the same chassis without the cellular module.
What is the TF card slot for, and how is it different from the SIM slot?
The SIM card slot gives the 4G / 5G module its identity on the mobile network — it is the subscription, not storage. The TF card slot is local storage: a rolling log for the site, a buffer for readings collected while the link is down, or space for images from an attached camera. Both are inside the chassis, so neither card can be knocked out of a port, and the antenna is routed out through the enclosure.
Which cellular and wireless options does it support?
The wireless side is a 4G / 5G LTE full netcom module with one SIM card slot and one TF card slot, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on an Intel N6235 module (802.11a/b/g/n, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, up to 300 Mbps). Wired networking is 2× Intel I210 Gigabit LAN. Which bands and which operator SIM you need depends on the country — tell us the destination and we will confirm the module configuration with the quotation.
Why a 15.6-inch Full HD panel with five serial channels?
Because panel size and serial count answer different problems. 1920 × 1080 at 15.6 inches gives the width modern HMI software expects — side-by-side trend, alarm and camera panes — in a cutout of 388.0 × 237.3 mm. The 4× RS232 and 1× RS485 cover the equipment that never moved off serial, with the RS485 channel available for a multi-drop bus on one twisted pair.
What I/O does the panel carry in total?
5 serial channels (4× RS232 + 1× RS485 on DB9), 6× USB (2× USB 2.0 and 4× USB 3.0, Type-A), HDMI + VGA driven simultaneously, one 3.5 mm TRRS audio jack, 2× Intel I210 Gigabit LAN and a Clear CMOS switch. Which processor tiers can the cellular panel run?
Three 12th Gen Core builds: i3-1215U (part number C11.01.04.023), i5-1235U (C11.01.04.024) and i7-1250U (C11.01.04.025), all with 8GB DDR5 standard and 2× M.2 SSD. The Celeron J1900, Celeron J6412 and 10th Gen Core options fit the same chassis, so a lower cost tier is available where the software does not need 12th Gen performance — CPU model may vary, so confirm the configuration with sales.
What power, temperature and mounting does it need?
12V DC on a 3-pin pluggable terminal block, with 9–36V DC optional for DC-bus cabinets and vehicles, an ATX power button and an internal AT/ATX mode switch. Operating temperature is 0–50 ℃ as standard with −40–70 ℃ available; storage is −10–60 ℃ and humidity 10%–90% non-condensing. The chassis is 404.2 × 253.5 × 75.1 mm, weighs 3.63 kg, and mounts in the cutout, on a wall bracket or on a VESA plate.
What certifications and ODM options does the cellular panel carry?
CE and FCC according to EN 55032 and EN 55035 plus EN IEC 61000-3-2, from an ISO 9001:2015 factory with MTBF of 60,000 hours. ODM covers custom BIOS, boot-on-LOGO and OEM branding, and because the panel is a BlockCore™ platform the CPU tier, the serial and network mix, the coating and the touch type (resistive 5-wire is an option) are all set per order.
