Design notes
Why this platform, and why a full stainless enclosure

Why a whole IP69K enclosure, not a sealed front panel
A 386.3 × 310.3 mm stainless enclosure at 10 kg is a genuinely heavy panel — it is built for a fixed frame or a reinforced swivel arm, not a light bracket. The reward is the stiffest bezel in the range and a 4:3 image that matches legacy 15-inch openings without re-cutting the machine.
- Whole-enclosure IP69K — the rating covers the entire unit, not just the bezel, so high-pressure jets aimed at the rear and the cable entries are covered too
- SUS304 stainless steel casing — resists the chloride and acid cleaners used in food, dairy and pharmaceutical washdown
- 386.3 × 310.3 × 60.5 mm overall, 10 KG — check the mounting structure against the weight
- Resistive 5-wire / Projected Capacitive (P-CAP) — optional optical bonding behind the touch surface
- VESA Mount VESA interface
Sealed aviation connectors instead of a cable gland
A washdown panel is only as waterproof as its cable entries. The WPC-S15-G uses circular aviation connectors for power, USB, serial and Ethernet rather than a gland plate or an open I/O cutout: 1× 4-pin DC input (aviation connector), 9–36V wide-range, 2× USB 2.0 with Type-A aviation connectors, 2× RS232 (optional RS485/422), 10-pin aviation connector and 2 × GigaLAN. Each connector seals on its own thread, so a jet aimed straight at the rear of the unit cannot reach the electronics, and a damaged cable is replaced by unscrewing one plug rather than opening the enclosure.
- Aviation connectors on every port — no gland plate, no exposed cutout
- 2× RS232 standard, RS485/422 optional on the same 10-pin shell
- 2 × GigaLAN
- 2× USB 2.0 Type-A on sealed circular connectors
- 9–36V DC wide-range input on a 4-pin connector for battery-backed and unstable plant supplies

Change the processor without changing the panel
All eight builds of the WPC-S15-G share one stainless chassis, one VESA interface and one connector set — the BlockCore™ modular architecture separates the compute board from the display and I/O boards. Upgrading from Celeron J1900 to 12th Gen Core i7 means swapping the compute board, not replacing the panel or re-running the cables through a sealed enclosure. SafeCore™ power-loss protection keeps system state intact across an unexpected power interruption, which on an unattended washdown panel is usually the difference between a restart and a lost batch.
- Eight orderable configurations on one mechanical platform
- Upgrade path from Celeron J1900 to 12th Gen Core i7 without changing the enclosure
- DDR3L → DDR5 and mSATA → M.2 NVMe across the four tiers
- SafeCore™ power-loss protection with automatic power-on recovery
- ODM support — custom BIOS, boot logo and OEM branding from the factory

FAQ
WPC-S15-G frequently asked questions
Questions about full-body stainless steel waterproof design, hygienic washdown, industrial durability and application options.
What makes the G‑Series 15‑inch IP69K panel PC different from a standard industrial panel PC?
Unlike our standard EPC‑W or EPC‑S aluminum‑housing IP65 panel PCs (built for factory floors and moderate washdown), the 15‑inch G‑Series is engineered for daily, intensive hygienic cleaning. It features a fully welded SUS304 stainless steel enclosure with a CNC‑machined unibody bezel, achieving total IP69K + IP67 + IK07 protection — the highest ingress and impact ratings for washdown environments. The all‑stainless construction resists corrosion from aggressive cleaning agents and withstands high‑pressure (80–100 bar), high‑temperature (up to 80°C) steam and chemical washdowns at close range. This makes the G‑Series the required solution for dairy, seafood, meat processing, central kitchens, pharmaceutical cleanrooms, and any hygiene‑critical area where daily sanitation protocols mandate complete waterproofing and easy decontamination.
What do IP69K, IP67 and IK07 mean in practical terms?
IP69K is the highest ingress‑protection rating for washdown equipment. It guarantees complete dust‑tightness and resistance to high‑temperature (80°C ±5°C), high‑pressure (80–100 bar) water jets delivered from a distance as close as 100–150 mm. Facilities that require daily steam or chemical sanitization — such as meat, seafood and dairy processing plants — mandate IP69K for all equipment in the washdown zone. IP67 adds protection against temporary immersion (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes), providing extra margin against flooding, hose‑down pooling and deep cleaning cycles. IK07 indicates mechanical impact resistance (2J impact energy, equivalent to a 1.7 kg mass dropped from 120 mm), protecting the unit from accidental bumps, dropped tools and high‑traffic collisions in busy production areas. Together, these three certifications ensure the device survives the harshest hygienic environments — from daily chemical washdown bays to cold storage rooms — without enclosure degradation or internal contamination.
Which industries require a 15‑inch IP69K stainless steel panel PC?
The G‑Series 15‑inch IP69K panel PC is designed for industries where equipment must endure daily high‑pressure, high‑temperature washdown with caustic chemicals or steam. Primary applications include:
• Dairy Processing — Cheese vats, milk pasteurization lines, CIP stations, and packaging equipment where high‑fat residues require aggressive cleaning. The 15‑inch 4:3 display with 1024×768 resolution provides a traditional SCADA-friendly format ideal for recipe management and batch tracking.
• Seafood & Meat Processing — Portioning machines, packing lines, and hygiene workstations in salmon, tuna, beef, and poultry plants. The 15‑inch size balances readability at typical washdown viewing distances while fitting into line‑side spaces.
• Central Kitchens & Commissaries — High‑volume food preparation facilities that undergo daily deep cleaning with hot water and chemical sanitizers. The 15‑inch form factor works well on mixing stations, cooking kettles, and ingredient handling lines.
• Pharmaceutical & Biotech Cleanrooms — Tablet coating lines, filling suites, aseptic processing areas, and sterile compounding rooms where disinfectant fogging and wipe‑down are routine.
• Chemical & Cosmetics Manufacturing — Mixing vessels, filling lines and packaging equipment exposed to corrosive solvents, acids and frequent washdown cycles.
For general factory automation and light splash zones, our EPC‑W aluminium‑housing IP65 series offers a more cost‑effective alternative.
What hygienic design features does the G‑Series include?
The G‑Series is engineered from the ground up for GMP/HACCP‑ready sanitation compliance:
• Full SUS304 stainless steel enclosure with CNC‑machined unibody bezel and welded chassis — No crevices, seams, sharp edges, hollow cavities or bacterial harborage points. The completely welded design prevents moisture ingress through joints.
• Smooth, non‑porous surfaces — All exterior surfaces are polished to resist particle entrapment and allow easy wipe‑down with disinfectants, bleach solutions or steam.
• Anti‑condensation airflow valve — A specialized breather valve equalizes internal pressure during rapid temperature shifts (e.g., moving from cold storage to washdown bay), preventing internal fogging and condensation while maintaining full IP69K sealing integrity.
• IP69K‑rated sealed aviation connectors — All I/O ports (USB, dual Gigabit LAN, RS232, DC power) use rugged aviation‑style connectors that withstand direct high‑pressure spray without ingress. No standard unsealed ports are exposed.
• Fanless hygienic thermal structure — Eliminates airflow pathways that draw in dust, moisture and bacteria. Heat is conducted through the stainless steel chassis to external cooling fins, keeping the internal sealed environment completely contaminant‑free.
• Resistant to corrosion from cleaning agents — SUS304 (and optional SUS316) withstands repeated exposure to chlorine‑based disinfectants, quaternary ammonia, peracetic acid and other harsh sanitizers used in food and pharmaceutical cleaning protocols.
What processor and memory options are available for the 15‑inch G‑Series?
The 15‑inch G‑Series supports scalable performance across Intel platforms, all sharing the same stainless steel enclosure, sealed I/O and panel‑mount dimensions:
• Celeron J1900 — 4 cores, 2.0–2.42GHz, 10W TDP, Intel HD Graphics. Memory: DDR3L 4–8GB. Entry‑level for basic HMI and data‑logging tasks in clean‑area workstations.
• Celeron J6412 — 4 cores, 2.0–2.6GHz, 10W TDP, Intel UHD Graphics (16 EUs). Memory: DDR4 4–32GB. Improved efficiency for light SCADA workloads.
• 10th Gen Core i3‑10110U / i5‑10210U / i7‑10510U — 2–4 cores, up to 4.9GHz, 15W TDP, UHD 620 Graphics. Memory: DDR4 4–32GB. Balanced performance for medium‑load SCADA and batch reporting.
• 12th Gen Core i3‑1215U / i5‑1235U / i7‑1255U — Hybrid architecture (Performance + Efficiency cores), up to 10 cores, 15W TDP, Iris Xe Graphics (80–96 EUs). Memory: DDR5 8–32GB. High‑performance for machine vision inspection, edge AI and real‑time analytics on the washdown floor.
Storage: Dual‑SSD architecture with M.2 NVMe + Mini PCIe options. All platforms support Windows 10/11 and Ubuntu Linux. For detailed specifications, download the datasheet.
How does BlockCore™ benefit stainless steel panel PC deployments?
CESIPC’s BlockCore™ modular architecture separates the compute engine (i‑Core Board) from the stainless steel display assembly — delivering critical advantages for hygienic washdown environments:
1. Upgradability without re‑certification: Upgrading from a Celeron J1900 to a 12th Gen Core i7 requires only swapping the compute board. The IP69K stainless steel enclosure, sealed I/O connectors, touchscreen, anti‑condensation valve and panel‑mount cutout all remain unchanged — preserving your costly IP69K, sanitary and washdown certifications.
2. Simplified spare parts & maintenance: A single i‑Core Board SKU works across G‑Series stainless steel models and standard EPC‑W aluminium panel PCs. Field service teams can replace the compute module in minutes without breaking the IP69K seal or compromising hygienic integrity.
3. Modular I/O expansion: BlockCore™ supports i‑Function and i‑Connect expansion boards for additional ports (GPIO, 4G, LVDS, serial ports, intelligent fan control) — without altering the sealed enclosure or requiring custom PCB development.
What protection does SafeCore™ provide in washdown environments?
SafeCore™ is CESIPC’s system‑level power‑loss protection architecture. In washdown and food processing facilities, plants often perform emergency shutdowns for cleaning cycles, lockout/tagout procedures or unexpected power fluctuations from high‑pressure washdown equipment — events that can corrupt OS files and batch logs if power is removed abruptly. SafeCore™ guards the operating system against file corruption during sudden power failure, ensuring safe disk writes and preventing fragmentation or data loss. Combined with auto power‑on recovery (the system automatically restarts when power returns), it guarantees the washdown workstation resumes normal operation after each cleaning shift without manual intervention. This is mission‑critical for production traceability logs, HACCP temperature records, operator authentication, and real‑time quality data feeds in regulated food and pharmaceutical environments. SafeCore™ is standard across all G‑Series models and requires no additional configuration.
What are the mounting options, I/O and mechanical specifications for the 15‑inch model?
The 15‑inch G‑Series supports VESA mounting (75×75mm or 100×100mm) for flexible installation on stands, articulated arms or machine frames, with standard panel‑mount options available for flush integration into stainless steel control cabinets.
Mechanical dimensions: Overall 386.3(W) × 310.3(H) × 60.5(D) mm. Weight: 10.0 kg net. Materials: Rugged SUS304 stainless steel casing (SUS316 optional for higher corrosion resistance).
Sealed I/O ports (aviation connectors): 2 × USB 2.0 Type‑A, 2 × Gigabit LAN ports with RJ45 aviation connectors (Intel® I210 chipset for reliable industrial communication), 2 × RS232 (optional RS485/422 conversion), 1 × 4‑pin DC input (9–36V wide‑range). All connectors survive direct high‑pressure spray without ingress.
Wireless: Optional Intel N6235 Wi‑Fi (802.11a/b/g/n, 2.4G/5G, 300Mbps) and 4G LTE module.
Environmental: Operating temperature -10°C to 60°C (extended range optional). Storage: -20°C to 70°C. Humidity: 5%–95% RH, non‑condensing. Full IP69K + IP67 protection certified. CE/FCC compliant (EN 55032 & EN 55035, EN IEC 61000-3-2). Factory ISO9001:2015 certified. MTBF 60,000 hours.
Does the touchscreen work with wet hands, gloves and heavy cleaning?
Yes — the 15‑inch G‑Series offers both resistive and optional projected capacitive (P‑CAP) touch technologies, each optimized for washdown environments:
Resistive 5‑wire touch (standard): Activated by pressure, not electrical conductivity — works reliably with wet hands, water droplets on the screen, and thick industrial gloves (latex, nitrile, rubber). Immune to false touches from water spray or condensation. The preferred choice for washdown zones where operators frequently handle wet product or wear heavy sanitation gloves. The 15‑inch 4:3 display features 1024×768 resolution, 300 cd/m² brightness, and 500:1 contrast ratio with 50,000 hours LED backlight life.
Projected capacitive (P‑CAP) touch (optional): Provides multi‑touch capability (pinch/zoom), higher optical clarity and excellent responsiveness — works through thin gloves and wet conditions using advanced algorithms that reject water droplets. Ideal for applications requiring modern gesture‑based HMI interaction.
Both touch technologies are sealed behind the IP69K front panel and survive daily exposure to high‑pressure washdown, cleaning agents and steam. The front surface is also treated to resist chemical attack from disinfectants and sanitizers.

How does the 15‑inch G‑Series compare with the 10‑inch or larger IP69K models?
All G‑Series IP69K stainless steel models share the same full SUS304 enclosure, sealed IP69K + IP67 + IK07 protection, hygienic design and BlockCore™ modular compute platform. The differences are screen size, resolution and physical footprint:
• 10‑inch G‑Series — 4:3 aspect ratio, 1024×768 XGA. Weight: 4.0 kg, dimensions: 278×225.4mm. Ideal for space‑constrained washdown stations: individual equipment HMIs, packaging line terminals, portioning machine controls, or cleanroom pass‑through interfaces.
• 15‑inch G‑Series (this model) — 4:3 aspect ratio, 1024×768 XGA. Weight: 10.0 kg, dimensions: 386.3×310.3mm. The most popular size for dedicated operator workstations on washdown production lines. It offers significantly larger touch targets and more screen real estate than the 10‑inch while maintaining the traditional 4:3 aspect ratio preferred by many SCADA applications. Provides approximately 93% more viewable area than the 10‑inch, making it ideal for displaying batch recipes, process parameters, and quality checklists alongside operator controls.
• 21.5‑inch G‑Series — 16:9 widescreen, 1920×1080 Full HD. Designed for central washdown‑area control rooms, multi‑operator monitoring, or applications requiring detailed process diagrams and data‑intensive SCADA displays.
Selection guide: Choose the 15‑inch when you need a balance of operator‑friendly screen size and workstation footprint — it is the most common choice for primary HMI terminals on food and pharma production lines. Because all G‑Series models share the same BlockCore™ compute ecosystem, you can standardize on one i‑Core Board SKU across all screen sizes — reducing spare parts inventory while matching the display size to each workstation’s physical and informational requirements.
