Who the EPC-W2492A configuration is for
The EPC-W2492A is the 10th Gen Intel Core configuration of CESIPC’s 23.6-inch (24-inch class) fanless panel PC. It carries a 15 W Core i3-10110U, i5-10210U or i7-10510U — up to 4 cores, 8 threads and 4.9 GHz on the i7 — with 8 GB DDR4 memory expandable to 32 GB and a 128 GB mSATA or M.2 SSD.
Specify it when one panel has to run more than one thing at once: an HMI plus a local historian, an OPC UA or MQTT gateway alongside the operator screen, several SCADA clients on one 1920 × 1080 desktop, or in-panel SQL logging. With up to 32 GB of DDR4 and a Core i7-10510U at 4.9 GHz there is enough headroom to keep the operator screen responsive while background work runs.
It also brings four USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. That mix suits panels that connect machine-vision cameras, USB 3.0 data sticks or external SSDs, while still leaving two USB 2.0 ports for a keyboard and a legacy USB-to-serial adapter.
The entry chip, the Core i3-10110U, has 2 cores and 4 threads — the lowest thread count in the series. If the workload is light but you still want DDR4 headroom, the Celeron J6412 in the EPC-W2472A is the cheaper route. Reserve this configuration for panels that genuinely run concurrent workloads.
Choose the EPC-W2422A instead when the application is GPU-bound: vision inspection, on-panel analytics or dual high-resolution displays. The 12th Gen boards add Iris Xe graphics and DDR5 memory, which the 10th Gen UHD graphics cannot match.

All four configurations share the same 23.6-inch 1920 × 1080 IP65 panel, the same 589.3 × 361.2 × 75.1 mm chassis and the same 562.7 × 338.4 mm cutout. Only the compute board, memory, storage, USB mix and integrated graphics change.

What processors are available in the EPC-W2492A?
The EPC-W2492A is built with one of three 15 W 10th Gen Intel Core processors: Core i3-10110U (2 cores, 4 threads, 2.1–4.1 GHz, 4 MB cache), Core i5-10210U (4 cores, 8 threads, 1.6–4.2 GHz, 6 MB cache) or Core i7-10510U (4 cores, 8 threads, 1.8–4.9 GHz, 8 MB cache). All three use Intel UHD graphics and the same board, so the choice does not change the enclosure, panel or cutout.
How much memory and storage can the EPC-W2492A take?
The EPC-W2492A ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and supports up to 32 GB — the joint-highest ceiling in the W24X2A series. Standard storage is a 128 GB SSD, with either one mSATA drive or one M.2 drive depending on the board fitted. Request the memory and storage size at order time and CESIPC builds the unit at the factory.
Is the Core i3-10110U configuration fast enough for a SCADA operator station?
Yes for a single SCADA client with an HMI, alarm list and trend display. The i3-10110U has only 2 cores and 4 threads, so it is not the right pick once several clients, an in-panel database and background logging all run at the same time. In that case choose the i5-10210U or i7-10510U, which keep the same board, panel and cutout and only change the processor.
Can the EPC-W2492A run machine vision or AI inference?
Only light-duty. The 10th Gen Core processors use Intel UHD graphics with no Iris Xe GPU, so inference libraries and vision tools that rely on GPU acceleration run slowly. For camera-based inspection, defect classification or on-panel analytics, specify the EPC-W2422A, whose i5-1235U and i7-1250U include Intel Iris Xe graphics and DDR5 memory.
